The Bible teaches that the local church should be governed by a team of pastor-elders (Philippians 1:1).  The pastor-elders have unique responsibilities that are very important to the overall health of the church.   They are primarily involved in caring for people, counseling and teaching.  They meet twice a month to plan chapel activities and exercise care over the congregation.

Deacons

The deacons are involved in various responsibilities related to the church which include financial integrity, stewardship of the building and care for the needy. They meet each month to discuss church matters.

Ray Gonzalez serves as a full-time pastor-elder.  Ray began serving at Lakeside in 2002, after serving in a similar capacity in Houston, Texas for eight years.  His wife’s name is Laura and they have three children – Jordan, Heather and Bethany.  Ray is a regular Bible teacher at Lakeside , and is also available for counseling and home visitation.

 

 

Mark Collard has served as the full-time youth pastor since 1998.  Mark coordinates activities related to the Junior and Senior High age groups with the help of a volunteer youth committee.  His wife’s name is Laurie, and they have two children – Nathan and Derek.

Karen Sardelli  has been the chapel’s secretary since 1998.  She manages the office four days a week and is very helpful answering questions on the telephone and offering administrative support to chapel ministries.

Nancy Relph  has served as a part-time treasurer since November 2004.  She maintains the chapel’s financial records and can provide tax-deductible donation receipts upon request.
